Hit the Road Shows The Syndicate Experience with Taste of Victory in Breeders' Cup

Taste of Victory Stables has been around for just six-years. In those six-years, this syndicate has introduced over 200 people to thrill of owning a Thoroughbred racehorse. They have had successful horses and graded stakes winners.

Perhaps the most exciting of all of their horses is one by the name of Hit the Road. Hit the Road (More Than Ready x Highway Mary) was purchased for just $160,000 by the dynamic duo of Dan Blacker and Boomer Bloodstock. They loved his pedigree and thought he looked very precocious. Hit the Road is now owned in partnership with D K Racing, Radley Equine, Rick Gold, and Taste of Victory Stables.

Hit the Road finished fourth in his debut on dirt at Santa Anita. A switch to the turf quickly proved to be what Hit the Road needed - he broke his maiden impressively in just his second start.

Hit the Road won the Zuma Beach Stakes on October 5th. In just three starts he has proved himself as one of the best juvenile turf horses in the country. His connections certainly believe in him too - Hit the Road is heading to the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.

Hit the Road has many hearts on the line. Even the Taste of Victory co-owners that don’t have shares in Hit the Road will be rooting for this colt. He is proof that dreams can indeed come true. He represents racing fans all across the world who do not have endless funds to own a racehorse outright. He proves that horses owned in partnerships can do more than win at the allowance level.

Hit the Road is what a group like Taste of Victory has been hoping for. It is what they are deserving of too.

Taste of Victory’s mission to introduce as many people as possible to racehorse ownership at a low price point is what this industry needs. Though horse racing can still draw big crowds in places like Louisville and Saratoga, it has been dwindling elsewhere. What Taste of Victory is doing ensures that horse racing sticks around. It puts more stakeholders in this industry and creates lifelong fans.

If Hit the Road wins for Taste of Victory, he will be winning for the industry as a whole. I’ll be rooting for him. Will you?
